A House I Didn't Build: Game Jam
A house is not a home, and sometimes if you stay still long enough, one will be built around your bones.
Would love to do more with this in the future! But as time is limited and my bones hurt, I think I'm happy with what I managed.
created as part of 2023's GMTK Game Jam "Roles Reversed": Instead of playing as ghost hunter, you play as a ghost stuck wandering an abandoned house.

i just speedran the game in my 1st - 2nd and 3d attempt....
All you have to do is :
1 - Press play
2 - Press the door to the left
3 - press the newspaper then the glass on the floor ( idk if this is optioneal this is gonna be my 4th attempt i might cut 30 sec of my timer)
4 - press the left door which is now open.
5 - press the blinking phone,,,, and wait for cutscene.
BAAM world record. 48 hrs game - 48 sec speedrun.

Then you get this screen:
Then the game starts acting weird and becomes unfinishable
Well that’s really weird and definitely not supposed to happen!
Unfortunately I don’t think I have a fix atm, but when I do more work on the game later on I’ll try and figure out how to keep it from happening. Thank you for letting me know! 🙌🏻
You're welcome. I enjoyed the game otherwise. I'm just glad that it's nothing too major. Not a lot of people scroll up and keep scrolling when one hits the top of the page. So not many folks may see the bug naturally.
I have a weighted mouse, and it'll keep on middle scrolling for 10 seconds or more if you let it.
Wow! I loved the art, it was amazing! The game was also very atmospheric. I was a bit confused on how to progress, but wandering around and looking at everything kept things interesting while I clicked everything.
This was SO cool! Art was beautiful, story was SUPER interesting and I love the concept <3333. Big horror game fan so obsessed!

Your game isn't loading. If you made it in Unity, check that the Project Settings > Player > WebGL > Publishing Settings > Compression Format is set to "Disabled". The cover art looks great and the description sounds intriguing! I can't wait to play it!
If it is showing as a black screen, click once, wait about 10 seconds, it should fade into the main menu image. If it still doesn’t load it may be a browser issue.
I’m really glad you like the art! I used Tyranobuilder for the game creation and it can be a lil weird sometimes
